Bell to release BlackBerry 6 updates in 2011

Bell BB 6Well here’s some interesting (and rather unfortunate) news for BlackBerry owners: apparently Canada’s Bell Mobility is planning not to release BlackBerry 6 updates for devices which were deemed capable, namely the BlackBerry Curve 3G, the Pearl 3G, and the Bold 9700.

It leads one to wonder of other carriers will follow and hold back updates.  After all, it was just 2 days ago that BlackBerry 5 was released for the Bold 9000 when leaks had been going around for more than a year.

We can only wait and see.  Until then, let’s pray for OS 6 leaks.  After all, leaks are already coming out for devices that aren’t even out yet.
